And thus the destiny of Sis. Chris. was determined.... 5/28/2013

Hey everyone!
Hope all is well up in good 'ol Utah, or where ever it is that you may be residing as this time. Either way you look it, as far as I know, you're all still up to me! ;-D So, guess what? Pres. Ashton has turned transfers upside-down here. They are unpredictable now. There used to be an order to it, Pres. Saylin was very strict and orderly, and so were his transfers. Now there is no way you could predict anything. I don't know what to say.
Anyway, the important part of the story is that I am now serving, once again, in the amazing Braes Bayou singles ward! However, my address is now: Sis. Angell Christopherson, 1800 El Paseo dr. Apt. 412, Houston, TX 77054.
So, I must say it was weird being in the singles ward in the first place, but now it's even weirder being back. I don't know what to do with all my mixed emotions. But I'll go where the Lord wants me to go, whether I like it not, I'll go! So, here I am. :-D
And actually, ----, the convert I taught from that ward. She already moved to Utah and is living with my trainer and dating my old district leader. Man life is crazy! It just keeps moving forward whether you're ready for it or not!
This week me and my comp. haven't been able to get out much. We've been pretty sick. I was up all night in the bathroom. It was pretty bad. But things are getting better. I'm excited to get out and start working again. Hopefully, I have the energy to do it like I want to. Sister ----, I've mentioned her before, she is my new companion. I sent a picture around Christmas time. She was the Sis. my trainer trained when I left.
I got to see Bro. ---- in the halls at church Sunday. It was the most happy thing. I almost gave him a hug I was so happy, and he almost gave me one he was so happy! But I saved us both and stuck out my hand telling him I'd hug him in December. :-)
I can't tell you enough how grateful I am for every day I get to serve out here in Texas. Even when I'm living with roaches, and sweating like there's no tomorrow, I am so overjoyed to know that I am a part of the Lord's work. I'm so glad to be His servant. My love for this gospel and for the Lord has just continued to grow so much deeper. It seems to have consumed my whole soul to overflowing. I hope it continues to overflow until I have become a refined enough vessel to contain it all and share with others.
I love the Lord, I love my Father, I love the scriptures, I love family history, I love the priesthood, and that I have access to it through the wonderful worthy men who surround me at home and out here. I love so many things, too many things to count. I love you all forever. God is real, His hand is seen every day! Doubt not, fear not; for He is our loving Heavenly Father. Build that relationship through prayer.
Forever,
Sis. Chris.

Hello, hello, hello! I bet you can't wait to read this e-mail! ;-)

Hey Everyone!
I hope that you had a most wonderful week, where ever you are! Perhaps, you even had a few adventures! ;-) So, today was transfer calls. It was crazy, we be like, "Say What?!" I don't even know how to respond to it. Yup....true story. Anyway, this week has been pretty calm for Sunnyside. Although, I kept being told how Sunnyside is like the 7th most dangerous place in the nation or something like that. Yeah, I'm that cool.  Hehe! No, it's not that bad. It's a wonderful adventure, and there is so much to learn from being around these people. I love them very much. I'm so grateful Father let all of the people I've met down in Texas be a part of my life, but I still don't want to live here past Dec. 17. :-)
I hope that each of you are enjoying your time, and creating  wonderful memories as a friends and family. I'm so grateful to be a member of Christ's kingdom, and a sheep in His fold. I could look forward to the day He comes again and I will recognize His voice when He calls my name to come. I'm so happy to have the knowledge and testimony I have, but more wonderful I have faith in it. This gospel lifts us up, and brings us to our Savior. It is the instructions and guide of how to access everything we need, to do everything we need to do, so we can find ourselves happily, gratefully, forever with our Father, Mother, Brother, and all others included in our Eternal Family. How cool is that?! Look at what we have, don't you want to share it? Don't you want all of your brothers and sisters home with you? Do the work, share to gospel, whether it's binding families in this life or in the next, get it done and do it now!

This is the ---- girls. President ---- and their son ---- weren't in the picture, but I love them! L-R Sis. ----, Me (Thomas and Sheffer boys I hope you like my hat. ;-) ), ----, ----, and ----. They are all super cute! President and Sister ---- are service missionaries for Sunnyside, President ---- is the branch President. They actually live in the East mission though. We cross the boarder....! ;-)

This is the ---- family on Mother's Day. L-R Me, ----, Sis. ----, ----, Bro. ----. They are the sweetest people in the world I love them so much! They are so funny, and they really made my birthday, it was something Bapa would do. Made me feel right at home with that crab-cake! ;-)

This is me...Driving a Texas Truck found at a grocery store called Randall's. It's in Pearland. Yup, I'm super awesome. You just can't contain all that can ya? I KNOW you be all up and like "Oh my goodness! She's soooo cool! I wanna be like that!" Right? Right? Yeah, I know. ;-)

Well, I guess my time is ending. I've gotta go, but I hope you enjoy this coming week and know that I love you with all my heart! God bless and God speed!
Forever,
Sis. Christopherson
Post Script: Are you wondering what transfer calls said? You should be - or had you already forgotten? ;-) Sis. Baker and I are both getting transfered. I don't know what's happening to sunnyside. It's a little crazy. You never know what's going to happen in the Lord's Vineyard, eh? Love you!

What in the world happened in Texas this week?!

Hello everybody! Hope all is well! I'm sure everyone is enjoying some nice cool weather...or has it started warming up a little? ;-) All I know is that life down in TEXAS was CRAZY!!! I went on two exchanges last week, and one of them I went to a bike area just south of my area. It was so much FUN!!! I loved it! It was a lot of hard work, and we came home purely exhausted, but it never felt so good to be so exhausted, because I was exhausted for the Lord. I biked up a storm- got my first sunburn for the season. Always exciting, right? :-)
After that back in my area, we taught like crazy. We tried anyway. I know that there are at LEAST 1,000 blessed, loved, and prepared children of Father that need to have the strength and endurance that comes from entering into coventants and being a member of Christ's Kingdom on the earth. I really do want to be a part of it, and I'm trying.
I am so grateful that I can be down here in Texas and labor ( and it is a labor) in the Lord's vineyard here. There is power in that calling and in that opportunity. I pray that you see the miracles of the Lord in your lives like I see them in mine. I can't really explain the awe in my heart of the love our Heavenly Father has, and how intricate His design truly is. We each of a divine role and purpose. As men and women, as sons and daughters, and more powerfully as ourselves. We lived with Heavenly Father, He knows us! And far better, He knows our hearts and what we can become.
Anyway, I'm sure you are all more interested in some crazy stories or something....which I'd love to share. ;-D This last Saturday there was a CRAZY storm down here in Houston.
It was pretty much the coolest thing EVER! :-) Until....I was driving down the road and the road turned into a river. True story. The road had waves ....roads shouldn't have waves. Or maybe it's the new thing. I don't know?
Nevertheless, I made it out safe and so did my companion. The car had seen better days, which is a whole other story I'm not sure I have enough time to tell. ;-)
Because the car was a little out of service Sunday and Monday, my area turned into a bike area! ;-) I was biking up a storm. And I met some crazy people! Couple of people hit on us, a couple just stared at the white girls riding by, one even kissed us....that was weird. But I survived. Barely.
Mmm....So much more to talk about, why is there never any time?! ;-)
Sorry, I didn't e-mail on Monday- we switched P-Day so that we could go to the temple today. But then a family emergency came up with the sister who was giving us a ride, and we couldn't go. We'll try again soon though. ;-)

Know that I love you lots and I pray for you. Peace be the journey.

Don't forget to do your family history work! ;-)

Forever,
Sis. Christopherson

Hello, Hello, Hello.... 4/22/2013

How is everybody doing?! I'm sure all is well! I know that the Lord has been watching over you.
I wanted to send some pictures today.

I was having fun with a mask. Being silly, but I thought they were kind of fun. ;-)

Hehe! WELL! This is at the ----'s house. They are a family from Silverlake ward that help out the branch. They went to the beach on Saturday, and  wanted to make me a crab cake for my birthday Sunday! ;-) Super funny. They are a wonderful family.
I love them a whole lot! I ate the crab and the cake....but not together. ;-)

Okay, so I see these everyday when I'm heading north. They are GIANT.

This is an armadillo. It makes me laugh...Texans will be Texans. ;-)
You can't beat the RED BARON!!

Just to show you an angle where you can see more than one.
These things are not small and there are a ton of them!

This one is pretty cool. It's this airplane shooting a giant spider. That spider is sweet! It is super tall!
The things you find here....right? I just wanted to share a piece of my everyday life with you.
Know that you are loved and appreciated. Know that I am grateful for you. Know that God is with you, and me. Know that you are a child of God. Great things are in store if you will keep His commandments!
Love you!
Sis. Chris

Guess what?! It's a LONG one! Finally. :-)

Hello, Hello, Hello! I hope all is well!
So, there is so much I have to tell you, and the truth is I forget half of it by the time I actually get to a computer on P-Day! ;-) So, I'll do my best to make you feel a part of all that has been going on. My mission is amazing! It is the best choice I ever made, and I know that is true. Come what may, I am so grateful that Heavenly Father allowed me and prepared a way for me to come!
So, this last transfer, I kept my companion; however, we lost the set of Elders in our branch and we took over the entire area! That's been fun getting used to! I don't know how much I'm supposed to tell you, but Sunnyside is a little sketch-mc-getch! I hear sirens everyday down here. But it's the most amazing thing! I know for sure that the Lord protects His servants. There are very few times when I've felt uneasy being here, and when I feel uneasy I listen to the Spirit and all is well. :-)
We are teaching a handful of investigators right now, but we're mostly just trying to find all of the people that are supposed to be in the branch. We have like 60 Less Actives, and like 15 regulars at church. Then we have members from neighboring wards that are called to serve in Sunnyside. So, in case you don't know, Sunnyside is GHETTO, I have had some of the craziest things happen out here. And it only happens in Sunnyside! :-)
So, We're teaching a woman named ----, who is a single mom with 5 kids. We're teaching a man named ---- and his girlfriend ---- and their kids. We're teaching ----, who is super cute and has two precious little kids. There are a handful of others we are teaching, but I unfortunately don't know how long we'll be able to because we get ditched a lot. So, I'll refrain from mentioning them.
I want to tell you a story about ---- though. We met her on Saturday, she is super cool. She wanted a Bible, and we ended up teaching her the Restoration. She has an amazing story! She has nine kids, and a few years back she went to sleep and didn't wake up until a month later. When she did wake up, she was paralyzed from the waist down. The Doctors said she wouldn't be able to walk ever again, and she would also have brain damage. She said the time when she was in the hospital and she couldn't do anything she was praying, and reciting Bible verses. She finally got a copy of the Bible and read it. She began to improve and she is comppletely functional today with no real lasting effects. She lost her Bible and that's why she wanted another one. I know that God blesses all of His children and He knows how to prepare them to receive His word.  She has a solid testimony of the power of scriptures and prayer. It's amazing! She was really excited to visit with us. It was a miracle in my life to meet her.

The members are great out here! They live it like it's everything. The members that come out from Silverlake are really nice, they are usually the ones that feed us, because the members that live in our area can't really afford to. There are some really amazing families. And I can just see Heavenly Father's hand in it all. Why these members at this time, and why the old ones get released when they get released. Heavenly Father is good and planning! I am astonished more every day at how intricate Heavenly Father's plan is, and how He weaves each life of His children together. Simultaneiously molding and shaping us to become Celestial. Heavenly Father knows how to handle all of His imperfect children perfectly that they might become such as well! There are a couple of families that are my super favorite. They are just so sweet, and caring.
You can see the people who are dedicated when they have to pack up a familiy and drive 30 min., or the people who have to ride on the bus just to get to church, but whatever comes they get there. There are crazies in this branch, just like there are crazies everywhere, but they teach you so much about how Heavenly Father loves us all, and they show their dedication to Him through sacrifice.
The weather down here is hot, but it's going to get hotter. I miss the snow so much! It finally rained last week, and it felt so nice. It was cool for a couple days after that, but it's warming back up again. Feels like you just got out of hot shower when you step outside the door. :-) I'll get used to it, but I'm looking forward to freezing when I come home for Christmas! ;-)
On P-day we do all sorts of things. Sometimes we have district activites, sometimes zone activities. Usually, I just do whatever my companion wants to do. So, recently that's been going shopping, or activities with the district at the church. Today we're going to Jamba! There isn't one in our area, but there is one in a zone. And we can go anywhere inside our zone, but we usually stay close to area because of miles and stuff. At the beginning of my mission my companion, who is now home and engaged, took me to bridal stores every P-Day. I even went ring shopping with her. ;-) That was an adventure. She didn't have a boyfriend when she was my companion, just so you know. :-) My other companion went home in Dec. and married an Elder from the mission in Jan. ... That was a little weird, not gonna lie. It's funny all the mission drama! ;-)
I enjoy the activities with the others, more than all the shopping, but that's okay. I'll take what I can get, right. :-)
I'm kind of out of time, so I'll have to tell you more next week. But my Mission President is a great guy, and he's taught me a lot. My prayers are answered every day, and I'm always meeting somebody that's just "only in Sunnyside"! ;-)
I love you all very much! Life is busy, but life is good! I hope you have a blessed and safe week! Peace be the Journey!

Forever,
Sis. Chris.
P. S. The Brethren just made a new Sister calling...they're kind of like ZL's but only for sisters. They are Sister Training Leaders. Pretty cool, huh? With so many new sisters they needed somebody to take care of all the drama since the Elders wouldn't know what to do with it! :-)

Hello Everybody!

Looks like I'm staying in Sunnyside! I'm just chillin' here doing the work. Our tiny little branch has taught me so much. You are blessed to have so many saints to strengthen and uphold our ward back home! General Conference was SOOOOO wonderful! I am so grateful to having living mouth pieces guiding us today. I encourage everyone to heed their council and to do what the Spirit directed you this past weekend. There were so many wonderful things given. Too much to eat all at once, so don't forget to study it as Pres. Monson admonished.
There has been a lot going on in my head and my heart these past few weeks. God is good! And He has guided me to better understanding. I want you to know that revelation is very real! Heavenly Father doesn't leave us in the dark we keep ourselves there. Revelation takes work just like repentance, prayer, and conversion; nevertheless, Heavenly Father is bound when we do what He says.
I promise that Heavenly Father has a plan and a personal plan of salvation for each one of us. He will NEVER cause us to suffer more than is necessary for us to become something greater. His work is to make you Eternal! He is our loving Heavenly Father!
I don't know all the mysteries of God, but I know that He unfolds them as we ask and prepare ourselves to receive them. God is real. Satan is real and opposes all that is good. Endure it well. This church is true and abiding by it's principles and modern day revelation will get you home. We are all so priceless!
My heart is with you and I love you. I know that Heavenly Father is looking out for you for me. I know that His plan is in the works. Submit to Heavenly Father and you will find peace in this life, and joy in eternities!

Forever,
Sis. Angell Christopherson

Hey, Hey, Hey......It's a Happy Day!!!

Hey Everyone!!!
I hope all is well! I hope everyone had a most wonderful Easter!!! I can't tell how much I love that day! I'm also super excited for conference this weekend and all sorts of great things. God is good all the time!!! I don't have a whole lot of stories from this week or anything, because I've kind of been a little sick.... but don't worry I'm holding up okay. I know that I'm super excited for the future and the Lord has been teaching me so much in this area. It's very much a refiner's fire, but I don't mind. It's bringing me closer to Father and relying on Him.

I know that my Father lives and He loves me, and I do not understand or know everything He has done and will do for me. I know I'm grateful to have Him in my life and in my heart. He is my Father!!!! I look forward to seeing Him again, and I always feel His love surround me.

Pictures:
That is the teddy bear I mentioned in a previous e-mail that my friends in Seabrook made me.
Isn't she cute!

This is my I Love Jesus hat. It's says that on the bill which you can't see, but it also says Christ is King. Which you can see! And my companion Sister Baker in her Gangsta Houston hat.

This was yesterday morning for Easter. We just took a picture.
Know that I love you lots and I think of you often. You are in my prayers. If there is anything I can do for you let me know.

Forever,
Sis. Chris.
