Hello, hello, hello!
Hope all is well! For me, this week has been CRAZY! No, seriously. To start off, we got in an accident on Tuesday - We are fine but our car has seen better days. Because that happened we've been on bikes the rest of the week! Yup, biked to Sugarland again.....Just for fun, you should get on lds.org and look up the ward boundaries for Braes Bayou (1101 Bering Dr. @ 1:00 p.m.) Our area is HUGE! Yeah, we're biking that until further notice. But don't worry, the Lord will prepare a way for us to do the things which He requires of us. The work will still move forward, just on two wheels instead of four! ;-)
With that starting off our week, the rest of it just sort of followed. It's just been one of those up and down weeks where everything seems to be coming up against you just for fun. In case you didn't know, that happens out here as much as it happens in every day life. But it's been fun to see the rays of tender mercies and hope scattered in the rainstorms of this week! Which by the way, we did have some of those too! Which was nice for biking, except for getting wet and muddy- but definitely a lot cooler to bike in! Haha, count your blessings, right?
So, I bet you're all expecting me to say that I'm getting transferred this week....and you would be........................................................................................not very correct. I'm staying! I know, we can all be surprised together! I'm not really sure what's going on with it all. But it's good stuff! If anybody has any fun ideas or activities that we can do in a singles ward to help members introduce their friends to the gospel, keep me posted! Because any idea is a place to start. President said he might keep us both here until we go home in December....so who knows? I don't. Maybe it's because we couldn't bike all my stuff to the mission office for transfers, and he just thought he would let us stay! Haha - I'm so funny. ;-)
Anyway, hope everyone is doing well! And I want you to know that we all can truly have peace in the midst of crazy days, or full on trials. We can feel our Fathers love in the hard times and especially as He lifts us up out of them. I promise that the temple is a place to be. As we go there and do baptisms, other ordinances, or just sit on the grounds and worship in study and prayer we will be lifted up and strengthened to what God wants us to become! Please listen to what He is teaching you! Follow where He guides you, because at least part of the time it's not really going to make that much sense! I can testify that Jesus is the Christ, and whatever comes He is with us, He will fight our battles! I know it, I love it, I need it! I'm so grateful for every day as a missionary, and for every moment I come closer to Father. For every lesson I learn, good or bad, hard or easy- I'm learning and I'm grateful!
I love you all so much and I hope you have a most WONDERFUL week! I send my prayers and my love!
Forever,
Sis. Chris.
